On any given day blue jays, chickadees, grosbeaks, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, blackbirds, juncos, grouse, blue herons, wild turkeys and others can be seen and heard around the property. The forest provides habitat and bird watching opportunities for many interior species such as ovenbird, scarlet tanager, wood thrush and pileated woodpecker. We will have binoculars with us on the bird watching tour.
On a Birdwatching tour we will take you on a journey through the forest, where we can see or hear various types of birds, while passing by flowers, trees, terrain, water features, and wildlife abundant in Grey County. Along the way, we collect wild edible plants and make a fire brewed natural organic tea and serve it while you are relaxing in the spa facility, afterward you can sit by the fire in a tipi to have your vegetarian/vegan meal, that accommodates food preferences or allergies.
If you like to stay overnight ask us about accommodation.
